The front disc brake is a solid performer which makes the LX 50 and Vespa S 50 stand out in their classes. For a basis of model Vespa 100 Sport engineers and designers have taken a model Piaggio Vespa 90. Vespa Model 100 Sport has become popular in the U.S. market due to the fact that the legislation allowed America to use the engines of 100cc.
The regular LX and S models also got small tweaks for 2013, with additional Vespa logo's being added to the grips and floorboard and new instrumentation being added to the S. The LX 150 also got some tweaks to its gauges and both models received subtle style changes to the horn area.
The beige suede seat on our LX150 looks sharp and got several compliments from bystanders. It sounds like the vespa is quite the capable machine but I can't see riding a 150 at those speeds for very long. I wouldn't compare be surprised if a 150 lb rider on a broken in Primavera saw closer to 65MPH as the top end.

Piaggio makes a BV500 scooter and there are others that size. We've just added a couple of Vespas to our test fleet, a 50cc LX50 and a 150cc LX150. I bought my LX150 about six months ago. In regards to the available power of the LX150. The LX scooters have a large underseat storage area (which does get hot from the engine so don't keep the ice cream here) and a decent glovebox.
